Medical BOTOX® Treatments

BOTOX® injections can treat specific medical needs, such as temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating.) For the treatment of TMJ disorders, Botulinum toxin (BOTOX®) is injected into the masseter muscles, limiting muscle function and relieving pain associated with TMJ disorders. Most injections for TMJ disorders will last approximately 3 to 4 months.

For the treatment of hyperhidrosis, BOTOX® injections can reduce underarm sweating by 82–87%. The effects can typically last 4 to 12 months; results may be noticeable between 2 to 4 days after treatment, with full effects usually noticeable within 2 weeks.
